Drunvalo 2012 Webcast: I Will Be Doing This

Just got a little tap from universe reminding me that Drunvalo Melchizedek posted a video recently. I hadn't watched it yet, but I saw it float by on Facebook. So I just watched it. It's an introduction to a webcast he'll be leading over the next three days. You can go here to get the particulars and sign up. This one's free. I don't know what he's on about but, as ever, I feel strongly led to participate in whatever Drunvalo is doing. I do just love that man. And his work has seen me through some of the most transformative experiences of my life. So check it out if you want. Cheers.

Sandy Hook and the Healing Power of Compassion

"Compassion, or the sense of shared humanity, of our kinship with each other: This is what heals." ~ Pema Chodron

The pain, at first, felt strangely personal. Strange because these were not my children. And, yet, any one of them could have been. As a mother, I feel the loss of any child as a momentary, primal terror. It's every parent's greatest fear, lingering always at the periphery of conscious awareness.

Then it expanded outward as I thought of all those parents spending their first night in the cold grip of unutterable grief. And I sobbed. And I sobbed. And I sobbed.

As I surfed the web that afternoon, checked in with friends on Facebook, and read the unfolding coverage, I gradually became aware again that this was a shared experience. Everyone I knew was in shock... naturally. It's always something of a relief -- those moments when you realize you are not alone in your sorrow.

So I thought of Pema Chodron and of her lectures on the constructive use of suffering for personal and global healing. Some time ago, I posted her explanation of the Tibetan Buddhist practice of Tonglen. As we breathe in the sorrows of the world and exhale our love and compassion, we participate in the conscious transformation of the planet.

Through our own personal experience of pain and struggle, we find compassion for the suffering of others. And when these news-making tragedies fix our collective attention, we are reminded that we are part of the shared heart of the world. Our heart chakras are ripped open as the consciousness of our interconnectedness expands.

As news of the tragic shooting at a school in Newtown, Connecticut, rippled across the globe, Mari Lolarga found a candle in his home in the Philippines and lit it in honor of those who died.

. . .

"May Allah give courage to all families to face it bravely, may the souls of those angels rest in peace," said Ghulam Murtaza, an elementary school teacher from Pakistan.
Danbury mayor: 'A horrific day'

In Lithuania, a teacher identifying herself as Veronika commented: "I send all my love and prayers to the families. It is all I can do from so far away, but my heart is now in Newtown with all the affected people. God bless them all."

. . .

Lisa Garnier from Canada said she and her husband were so devastated by the news they both sat down and cried.

I read something recently about the Maya trying to end the fear-mongering about their ancient calendar and the panic about the pending 2012 end date.

[Felipe]Gomez's group issued a statement saying that the new Maya time cycle simply "means there will be big changes on the personal, family and community level, so that there is harmony and balance between mankind and nature."

It was but another reminder that the "shift of ages" holds the promise of bringing humanity into "right relationship" with the world we inhabit. So here we stand, on the eve of "the end of the world" remembering that we are all mothers... and fathers... and sisters... and brothers... and children.

William Henry on Olympic Strangeness

Wenlock and Mandeville: Mascots for 2012 London Olympics

I will be the first to admit that I don't pay much attention to the Olympic Games. When I was a kid, I liked the figure skating but even that doesn't hold my attention anymore. No sports fan I, but more than that, I've completely lost interest in group-think. I find the collective, water-cooler nature of the experience off-putting. At the same time I realize that that's the major draw for a lot of people, hence the group-think. This year, though, I think perhaps I should pay more attention because it seems like something unprecedented is being directed at the collective mind. Or so I've learned from William Henry.

Henry's interview with Chad Stuemke is fascinating. The symbolism associated with the upcoming games in Great Britain is positively heavy-handed. So much so that Iran has threatened to pull out because of charges of a Zionist conspiracy. They've also apparently blocked the website. It would seem that by pulling the logo apart and readjusting the angles a bit, we come up with something that looks sort of like the word Zion. So conspiracy theories abound.

William Henry, however, has a somewhat different take, which speaks to one of the reasons I love his work. Henry's new book Secret of Sion is an examination of the mythical significance of Sion/Zion. He posits that it points to plane of existence associated with ascension, the seraphim, and the legendary rainbow body. And both he and Stuemke see the imagery associated with the 2012 Olympics as redolent with those themes. And, now that they say it, it's kind of hard to miss. This page on Stuemke's website gives a good rundown.

The promo video which introduces Wenlock and Mandeville -- the "one eyed rainbow riding aliens" -- alludes to alchemical transmutation. They start as molten, golden steel. They harden into lumps of dull, grey, base metal. After being sculpted into their weird, little alien forms, they are transformed by a rainbow from heaven into iridescent, golden beings. They ascend on rainbows promising to return to London in 2012. A cake celebrating the builder's retirement is a circumpunct, albeit, missing a slice. I believe I've mentioned my obsession with that form one or ten times. The video is just full of suns and spheres and eyes.

Henry and Stuemke discuss at length two different ways to view the apparently conscious use of all this symbolism: Illuminati conspiracy or spiritually guided consciousness event. As I've said before, I don't do the paranoia. When I look at all these symbols that so much of the woo-woo world says are the secret government flaunting their power and engaging in public rituals to keep us docile, I see the opposite. I see symbols of illumination designed to awaken humanity. How much of that is conscious and how much of it is artists, architects, and world leaders plucking archetypes from the subconscious I can't say. But when I look at a collection of symbols as blatant as these, it's hard to call it anything but deliberate.

Personally, I think what has become of the word Zion is a tragedy. Like so much of this symbolism, its meaning has been inverted. This is not a commentary on the Palestinian-Israeli crisis. I don't do those. It's more a reaction to the reaction and the way fear and paranoia distort and stupefy. As I've said before, if there's a conspiracy associated with these symbols, it's a psych op to make us fear rather than embrace them. It is positively Orwellian the way Zion has come to represent war instead of peace. These symbols are powerful. We need to reclaim them and give them their rightful place in our consciousness.

I'm with Henry's wife Claire, whom he interviews here to speak in her capacity as a native Brit:

When are we going to have some leaders that say, "Let's make this world a better place." We know what we know. We've got the ancient knowledge. It's about time that it was put on the top table and all this symbolism and hidden knowledge and art that's been showing us the way for years and years and years; for eons. It's about time we all wake up from the dream and make this world a better place.

Past and Portents in Graham Hancock's Mexico

Well, this could explain all the piercing tones I've been getting in my head for the past couple of weeks. (Of course the supermoon hasn't helped this weekend. I mean these pics are pretty but, oh, my head.)

North America's second-tallest volcano recently rumbled to life, putting authorities on edge. Big eruptions of Mexico's massive Popocatepetl volcano are "few and far between," as one geologist says. Yet even without any dramatic fireworks, 17,800-foot (5,425-meter) "Popo" has the power to wreak havoc.

. . .

Popocatepetl lies about 40 miles (70 kilometers) southeast of Mexico City. The mountain reawakened in December 1994 after five decades of silence. Yet in the nearly 20 years since, the volcano has rarely exhibited the kind of vigorous activity that began the week of April 12.

Minor earthquakes have rocked the mountain, it has spewed out plumes of gas and ash, and multiple explosions have shot glowing rocks from the summit. [ Images of Popocatepetl in action.]

The mountain has the potential to erupt magnificently once every 2,000 or 3,000 years. "It has big eruptions, but they are so few and far between," Sheridan said. "But they have been pretty big. So that is the scary part."

I have a particular affection for the Mexico City area and tend to be sort of dialed in to earth changes there. It is an area rich in history. One of the most transformative experiences of my life involved a trip to Mexico City. And I owe at least a little of that to Graham Hancock. I was reminded of that yesterday morning when I stumbled on this lecture he did some years ago.

Fingerprints of the Gods, which he discusses here in some depth, was the first of Hancock's books I read, and it began a love affair with his writing. But the way I came to read that book was somewhat peculiar.

The book had belonged to a friend of mine. I noticed it on her bookshelf where it looked a little out of place. I borrowed it and had begun to read it when she and I had a huge falling out and I had to the give it back. I had fully intended to get the book for myself but I hadn't yet got 'round to it when, some months later, an opportunity to travel to Mexico City came up. It's a long and complicated story but suffice it to say it wound up with me going there to do a Flower of Life teacher training with Drunvalo Melchizedek.

When it came time for me to make my travel arrangements, it occurred to me that I should probably do at least a little research about the area first. I stopped by the Montclair Book Center to pick up a Fodor's. There, thoroughly misplaced in the travel section, sort of shoved in awkwardly on its side, was Fingerprints of the Gods. I picked it up and started to leaf through it. And there it was. Teotihuacan. Now, geography has never been my long suit and I really hadn't grasped until that moment that the ancient site was spitting distance from Mexico City. I really knew very little about it except that Hancock had included it as a site of some importance in advancing his theory of an ancient, lost civilization. But in the split second it took me to put those few pieces together I resolved that one way or another I was going to get there during my trip.

It occurred to me that Drunvalo might take us there as part of the seminar but I wasn't going to leave that to chance. I built an extra day into my trip so I could go there alone if needs be. As it turns out, he did not take us to Teotihuacan. Although he did take us to Cuicuilco, a round pyramid that isn't nearly as well known, and that was also an amazing experience. But the opportunity to go to Teotihuacan fell into my hands as if by magic. There was a gentleman in the class who was a professional tour guide. He graciously extended an offer to anyone who wanted to go there on the Monday following the seminar which, as luck would have it, was the day I had left open for just that purpose.

Hancock goes into some detail in this presentation on the relevance of Teotihuacan to his theory of a lost civilization. I had read everything he had to say about Latin America, with its ziggurats and plumed serpents, before I got there. Even so, I was unprepared for the intensity of this "place where men become gods."

I spent that day doing rituals with the small group of travelers and our wonderful guide. We came to realize the entire experience was one long ritual and we were not the one's directing it. Mostly, our job was to listen and do as we were told. Teotihuacan is inhabited by wise spirits of ancient origin.

The conspiracy of events that put me in Mexico City at that particular time with those particular people is something I could only marvel at. And the process of transformation that was initiated in me at that time is something I'm still sorting out.

One of the things that struck me as I was listening to Hancock explain his research is just how impermanent it all is. I still marvel at the hubris with which so many people disregard doomsday theories. I'm not saying that I think 2012 signals such a doomsday and I think if anything is clear about the Mayan long count calendar, it's that, for all the theories, no one really understands it. It remains a tantalizing mystery. But something is happening and the energy shifts we've been experiencing are fairly amazing. So are the earth changes.

Hancock touches briefly on Charles Hapgood's theory of crustal displacement and the possibility that we may have had previous pole shifts. Whether any of that is tied into the vestiges of a lost civilization and the out of place artifacts Hancock has spent years researching is hard to say. Even harder to say is whether it will happen again. But to pretend that civilization ending cataclysms are silly wives tales is arrogant. The people of Pompeii were apparently enjoying life as usual when they found themselves engulfed by the sudden, massive eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. We certainly know more about volcanoes now than those ancient Romans did but we are no more immune to a grandiosity that convinces us that we know enough.

I was reading the other day about some new theories on the volcano that is Yellowstone. Something many Americans don't realize is that Yellowstone is actually a "supervolcano" and a full scale eruption would be devastating. The new study I was reading up on found that it might not "wipe out half of the United States, covering the rest in 3 feet of ash and pushing the world into hundreds of years of nuclear winter, challenging human civilization to a game of death and survival." So that's... kind of... good news. The bad news? It's much more active than previously believed and even a lesser eruption would be inconceivably disastrous.

My point is simply this. As tempting as it is to think that we know all we need to about the potential for sudden, radical change on this planet, history has shown over and over that we don't. And the clues are there to a prehistory of which we know nothing with any certainty. Embrace the mystery. That's all I'm saying.

A side note: I love Jungian synchronicities. As I write this I notice that the movie Matilda has come on ABC Family. It's one I've watched over and over. But the first time I ever saw it was when I was taking my red-eye flight back from Mexico City, after a full day of tromping up and down those divine temple monuments. On the nearly empty plane, I stretched out over several seats and drifted in and out of sleep, surfacing just long enough to ask myself questions like: Is that little girl making things fly around the room? This movie is about a telekinesis? Maybe I should be paying more attention? Zzzzzzzz...

Robert Schoch and William Henry on the Sun

Excellent discussion this week on William Henry's Revelations about the sun cycle and just how bad it could get. Robert Schoch is the geologist who researched the weather patterning on the Sphinx and back-dated its construction to some time before recorded history. His work has been extensively cited by Graham Hancock, Robert Bauval, and John Anthony West, who sought out his expertise to evaluate the claims of R.A. Schwaller de Lubicz. Schoch has since turned his attention to Gobekli Tepe, the oldest known temple which was fairly recently discovered in Turkey. (See here)

In this interview he discusses geological, archaeological, and mythological evidence of a civilization ending solar catastrophe in the ancient past. He describes an event that would have dwarfed the 1859 Carrington Event that saw northern lights as far south as Hawaii and set telegraph stations on fire. He is not alone in positing that this may be what the Mayan calendar warns. It also bears mentioning, I think, that one of the Time Monks' most consistent predictions is the meme "sun disease."

Schoch and Henry also discuss the possibility that the weird noise phenomenon, discussed here and here, may be associated with the unusual radiation coming from the the sun. Schoch explains the interrelationship between electromagnetic radiation and sound. We already know that the radiation bursts from the sun can be translated into sound -- like all energy, really -- so it's an interesting theory. There is a very metallic ring to what was recorded here. So this is one of the most substantive suggestions I've heard yet on this issue.

Schoch is a sober researcher and a scholar so this is a very even-handed discussion. His book on the topic is here and more information can be found at RobertSchoch.com.

Internet Shutdown and Other Time Monks Related Concerns

Web Bot Forum Roundtable Discussion of Data Gap

As discussed, this month is when the web bots are predicted to hit the hard wall of the "data gap," or "discontinuity." To be clear, Clif High does not pretend to know what causes the data gap. But reports going back to some of the earliest web bot runs have shown that in this time period, the ability of the web bots to gather data would start to drop off dramatically and, over the course of about a year, disappear. Jules from Web Bot Forum posted an overview here.

Since the early years of the webbots, Clif High has seen a discontinuity or data gap in the webbots long term forecasting. As we get closer, the discontinuity has come into clear view starting in March 2012 yet for all intense [sic] and purposes, the discontinuity still remains a mystery. During this period the data grows holes which make forecasting impossible. Forecasting correctly and incorrectly is one thing, but what could happen that makes the data impossible to forecast?

Data gap is also something of a misnomer, according to High, who has more recently said that the reemergence of a small amount of data gathering capability was actually forecast due to a programming error. What we're actually looking at is a data stoppage.

Sorry, no. You misunderstand. Data gap is a 'natural' phenomenon. The recurrance of data after 5/2013 is the processing artifact.

The gap effect has already started in modelspace and simply is totally complete by 6.2013.
Also do not know what causes the gap. But at least now we know it is not a gap so much as a winding down and stoppage So unknown effects now are gradually (over 2011 into 2013) causing the stoppage of data. This *may* be good news in the sense that this pattern *would* fit a degradation of the internet.
clif

The hard wall of the data gap also appears to be accompanied by a seemingly infinite period of "release language." Interestingly, High now says that the release language will not be triggered by a specific event but actually seems to be organic.

I have been looking at the data gap with increasing concern as it's onset moves closer but the more I examine it, the more inscrutable it becomes. I do think, however, that whatever it is, it's fairly inevitable. In the years that I've been following the Time Monks work, I've found their accuracy on the big picture stuff to be fairly dazzling. And when they predict a period of release language, it always comes, accompanied by an event or a series of them. That the data gap correlates with a release language period such as we've never seen before makes me take it all the more seriously.

Bear in mind that when the web bot predictions pan out, it's not because Clif High or George Ure are so good at predicting things. It's that we, the human race, know what's coming due to our innate psychicness. Clif High has just developed some very clever software that has a good batting average when it comes to reading the collective unconscious through our expressions on the internet. Often, High doesn't understand what he's looking at. As he has said himself, the monkey mind gets hold of these broad archetypes and misinterprets them. The fine details, he can get wildly wrong, while, at the same time, reporting archetypes and memes that are dead on. Often, they can only be really understood in retrospect.

In Wikipedia's write-up on  the web bot project, they list some of the hits and misses. The first item on the miss list is a perfect demonstration of how totally misunderstood the nature of these predictions is.

A massive earthquake in Vancouver, Canada and the Pacific Northwest was predicted to occur on 12 December 2008.

While High's analysis of the predictive linguistics did point to an earthquake for the region that did not come to pass, much of the language he based that forecast on was fulfilled. Where High often gets it wrong is in his analysis of what the language means, not in the accuracy of the language itself. So what actually occurred? On December 11 2008, Bernie Madoff was arrested for running a ponzi scheme and the phrase "financial earthquake" was repeated ad nauseam, ad infinitum, to describe the Madoff scandal. And while no massive earthquake hit Vancouver and the Pacific Northwest, the "geographic isolation" predicted in the linguistics did because of massive snow storms. Flights and other mass transit were majorly disrupted ruining Christmas for many. It was not widely reported but because I have internet friends in the area I know that many people were unable to access major roadways or buy groceries. There were people who were snowed in for weeks, in some cases. So High's deduction that the "geographic isolation" would be caused by the "earthquake" was incorrect. He conflated two discreet language components that turned out to be separate. But the language itself was absolutely borne out by events.

And that was one of their "misses."

So, when it comes to the broad strokes, I take the Time Monks predictions seriously. The fine brushwork, less so.

While I think it's fairly inevitable that there will be a data gap, the reasons are incredibly unclear and High and Ure have done a fair bit of spit-balling, and most of their predictions are dire. Ure has several times advanced the idea of it being due to a web stoppage. Horrible as it sounds, it is, in my opinion, the most obvious reading that suggests itself. And the fact that the FBI is warning that they may shut down DNS access on March 8 points to one possibility. As any programmer knows, things like this rarely go smoothly.

The FBI is currently scheduled to take several temporary DNS servers offline on March 8th; an action that could result in the disconnection of millions of Internet users. This dilemma stems from a nasty trojan that was circulating back in 2011 called DNSChanger. This bug was used to alter a user’s DNS settings, and law enforcement used temporary DNS servers to give everyone time to fix the problem. Experts fear that many systems are still infected, and risk failure on March 8th.

Clif addressed this one head on near the end of his most recent interview, which can be downloaded here. It's one of the best and most informative interviews he's done in a while. Here's what he had to say on the data gap possibly being tied to some sort of internet take-down.

Well, let me tell ya, since about 2002 we started getting indications that there was this data gap showing up in 2012 and I used those terms, "data gap." First started showing up as swiss cheese kind of effect in our modelspace and these holes. But when we shift modelspace and make it move to get the temporal effect and figure out a time ratio, all of those swiss cheese holes form a solid gap. And so we've got this data gap that has been forecast since way back when appearing at this particular time. Our data gap had always been focused on March 15th of this year. Now was it forecasting the internet going down way back when in 2002? It didn't seem to relate to the hardware but there was no way to-to know at the time because the language was related to the emotions that people would feel as a result of whatever the event was that caused the data gap itself. And our data gap, since we didn't have any follow-up on that, we couldn't look ahead and then look back from that far perspective to see what had happened so to speak. And so it's been a big mystery for us what occurred in 2012. Coulda been, okay, we've been speculating, okay, the data gap could relate to the huge, uh, could relate to a nuclear war where we're all killed. That would certainly cause a big disruption in the psychic, uh, forcefield that is humanity. Or it could be solar flares or so on. Or, even way back when, it could be a total disruption, uh, of the internet. Well, the way that that comes out, though, uh, we've seen the data holes show up and there is some, I have to say, there's some supporting argument temporally based for George Ure's contention that the take-down of the internet attempts in Northern Africa as part of the Arab spring were the, coincidentally, when the first of our data holes showed up. So we may have been forecasting a generalized disruption of the internet that might begin on March 15th. If so, it persists for a long time.

Another possibility that High mentions in that clip, and has mentioned several times over the years. is solar flare related disruption to the magnetosphere being responsible for the data gap. Obviously, if we had a massive Carrington event and it wiped out the electrical grid, our entire communication system would go. Of course we'd also quite possibly be thrown back to the 1800s. Around 11 minutes into the second hour of that same interview, High discusses the "sun disease" meme relative to the possibility of disruptive solar events. Interestingly, he charts 3 of these events between early 2012 and 2013. I mention this because it could arguably point to a Carrington or other electromagnetic disruption and it correlates to the time period over which the data stoppage occurs.

The auroras we've been seeing have been beautiful but the threat to our electrics shouldn't be underestimated. A recent study found that we are even more at risk than previously thought.

"Even if it’s off by a factor of two, that’s a much larger number than I thought,” study author Pete Riley, senior scientist at Predictive Science, a space "weather" research firm in San Diego, told Wired.

. . .

Riley calculated the relationship between the severity of a solar storm and how likely it is to happen, basing his predictions on the so-called Carrington event of 1859, which caused widespread disruption of communication systems as well as brilliant auroras as far south as the Caribbean. During the event, Scientific American noted, "People could read the newspaper by their crimson and green light. Gold miners in the Rocky Mountains woke up and ate breakfast at 1 a.m., thinking the sun had risen on a cloudy day."

War with Iran appears to be one of High's greatest fears as much of this coincides with the webbot meme "the Israeli mistake" and what is an increasingly audible drumbeat from the pro-bomb Iran faction. This particular concern drove High to cancel all his interviews and unplug from the conversation entirely because he was too depressed to talk about it. He rallied and went on to schedule some other interviews, shifting his focus to preventing a trigger to war, such as false flag attack. Please note that I do not in any way endorse the paranoid abuse of terms like zionist, mason, or illuminati. There is much I disagree with in terms of High's personal filter and these particular conspiracy theories are among them. However, that there is an active push for war with Iran is pretty hard to deny and the rhetoric is really ramping up.

When it comes to false flag possibilities, note how much of Barry McCaffrey's case for war relies on an anticipated attack from Iran. This retired general (please note my use of the word retired) and full-time war profiteer presented this Power Point to the editorial board of NBC, as reported by Glenn Greenwald. In it he practically writes the script for a false flag.

Here is the relevant text:

The latest saber rattling by the Iranian Armed Forces threatening the US Navy Carrier Stennis Battle Group to not return to the Gulf was significant. It was immediately and widely derided as an empty threat by the 5th Fleet in Bahrain. In my judgment the US will not and should not place a carrier at risk in the narrow Gulf waters if combat operations are deemed likely. There is a high probability that the Iranians could SINK a US carrier (with 5000+ sailors) in these constrained waters with their current military capabilities. It would mean all-out war if that happened.

I can't help noticing, though, that all this saber rattling is getting major push-back from active duty, as opposed to retired, military, with both the chairman of the Joint Chiefs, General Martin Dempsey, and the Air Force chief of staff, General Norton Schwartz, publicly questioning the wisdom and efficacy of striking Iran. And yesterday, General Dempsey dug in his heels during a Congressional hearing, repeating his assertion that Iran is a "rational actor" and should not be underestimated. Military chiefs don't speak out publicly like that unless they are in alignment with the current administration, which they are.

“Any military action in that region threatens greater instability in the region,” said White House spokesman Jay Carney.

. . .

So far, the United States has no conclusive evidence the Iranians are building a nuclear weapon, he said.

The Obama administration is advocating for a political solution to the crisis that includes International Atomic Energy Agency monitoring of Iran’s nuclear program.

It's also clear from this interview that President Obama is not taking military action off the table -- something that no President in a difficult negotiation would ever do -- but he has numerous preferred methods he wants to see unfold. It seems pretty clear that he wants to talk the Israeli government down when he meets with Prime Minister Netanyahu.

In my discussions with Israel, the key question that I ask is: How does this impact their own security environment? I've said it publicly and I say it privately: ultimately, the Israeli prime minister and the defense minister and others in the government have to make their decisions about what they think is best for Israel's security, and I don't presume to tell them what is best for them.

But as Israel's closest friend and ally, and as one that has devoted the last three years to making sure that Israel has additional security capabilities, and has worked to manage a series of difficult problems and questions over the past three years, I do point out to them that we have a sanctions architecture that is far more effective than anybody anticipated; that we have a world that is about as united as you get behind the sanctions; that our assessment, which is shared by the Israelis, is that Iran does not yet have a nuclear weapon and is not yet in a position to obtain a nuclear weapon without us having a pretty long lead time in which we will know that they are making that attempt.

The Obama administration is in no hurry to go for the military option and sees it as a long term strategy potential so I think it unlikely that we will take any such action this month. If that issue were to be involved with the release language, it would require a triggering event like a false flag and it would have to be very soon. Personally, I don't see how any of that could correlate with a period of prevailing release language as whatever war preparations took place in the aftermath of a false flag would be redolent with building tension language. That there is lots of language and speculation about war with Iran that could contribute to the crocodile teeth pattern we are supposed to be entering right now is a strong possibility. Nuclear annihilation in the coming weeks, far less so, in my opinion. I just don't see how that possibility fits the timeline.

The discussion posted at the top of the page includes a lot of theories and some of them are really positive. The possibility of the release language as part of a massive consciousness shift seems like a very real possibility to me and squares with this sense I've been having of the earth itself just suddenly thriving and blooming.

In this segment of Jay Weidner's speech he quotes High as saying years ago that what he saw for this time period was not a revolution as much as an evolution. One way or another, I think that is what's transpiring. It's only a question of how much pain will accompany that growth. I certainly hope it's a lot less than the worst predicted scenarios.

Time Monk Clif High on Big Changes in March

I've listened to this Time Monks Radio Network interview with Clif High a few times. I've found it hard to get through because it is long and much of it is really ponderous. There are some stunning revelations, though. It just isn't immediately obvious because they've buried the lede.

The big news is that dramatic happenings are anticipated for March of this year. This looks to be the long anticipated "hard wall" of the "data gap" which coincides with something High is calling a "breakthrough" point. There is an extended period of alternating release language and building tension language that ends with nothing but release language as far as the eye can see. This points to a fundamental change in the nature of society and possibly of reality itself. Whether or not High is aware of it, there are intimations of the kinds of changes the airy-fairiest of lightworkers have been talking about for some time. Of course it could also mean something cataclysmic and hideously destructive. And of course, it could go both ways. Within the lighworker paradigm, that dichotomy should be familiar. As light increases and the dark is disrupted, the purging process is awful. And I've found it to be axiomatic that whenever Karen Bishop, for instance, signaled a positive expansion, the fallout was horrible. It got to where I used to brace myself for the coming misery whenever she gave her sunniest predictions. To put that in more pedestrian terms, for something new to be built, whatever's in it's way has to be destroyed. And it could well be that in this case, what is set for demolition is the world as we know it.

In her last energy update, Lauren Gorgo announced that it was... wait for it... her last energy update. The reason? We're there. Gorgo, whose last 5 or 6 updates have been stunningly on the money for me, personally, says that we've reached the "promised land."

This is the year when all the proposed solutions to bringing our planetary systems to the next level will be met with great cosmic support, and all those who have sustained the visions of the future and held the pristine memories of home will be given the divine flow of perpetual grace to physicalize those visions of LOVE.  This year we begin to live our purpose (out loud) and finally make manifest the creations we have envisaged for what seems like forever.

So, it makes sense that we might see some rather dramatic expressions of change in the material world, some of which could get really uncomfortable. Gorgo says as much.

We will continue to exist between worlds (3D & 5D) for a while, using the 4th dimension as the bridge between the two, so the Pleiadians suggest a need to be more discerning with our energy & opportunities in order to maintain a sense of equilibrium during a potentially stressful time on the planet, especially for those (4D) bridgers working with more of the masses and those people yet to choose LOVE.

There is a fairly direct comparison to be made between that vision and High's explanation of the infinitely extended release language period he sees ahead. He explains, as he has before, that release language periods can be either good or bad in terms of experience. It can be like a giant keg party where the majority of the conversation is in release even though a few exchanges in the mix are building tension. It can also be people reacting to learning that they're about to be exterminated in a holocaust. The language pattern would look the same in his data. But here's what he says about the immediate future at around an hour and forty minutes into the interview.

I would hope that we're a smart enough species that when pushed to the brink -- because we're basically lazy butts and we don't do anything until we're forced to -- that we will get off our lazy butts, stop these idiots, and go right into perpetual, exponential renaissance, which I think of as giant party, where we all agree we're adults now. We grant ourselves the freedom to interact with universe the way we need to. We get out from under these parental institutions in a kind and gentle way -- because we wanna rehabilitate these poor souls -- and grab all the cool stuff and start go out and start inventing our future in a giant party mode. Because I sure don't want to live in the alternative.

After this period in March of a "crocodile teeth" pattern alternating and between release and building tension language, it's all release except for some very small subsets of building tension language which look to be amongst the "powers that be" and may have to do with solar flares. (Right around the 41 minute mark.)

High, for his part, seems ecstatic in this interview. He is very excited at the possibility that the game is afoot. I think this is the first time I've ever heard him sound upbeat and positive. He seems to be very much of the opinion that something truly huge is coming and that whatever it is, it will dramatically change the power dynamics on the planet. This looks to be the point at which the "powers that be" become, as he has been calling them for some time, "the powers that were." But, he says, this is a moment for decisive action.

"Truly, we are at a point of commitment. If you are not taking action to thwart the powers that be in February and March of this year, there may not be a point to it in April or May."

High is still unclear -- though he engages in some wild speculation -- as to what causes the data gap. This is the time period that has shown up in report after report where-in his system is no longer able to gather data for these reports from the internet. Whether that means the internet will go down, the power grid will go down in a Carrington event, or we'll all lose our mental faculties, is anyone's guess. That there may be a mental component to this is bolstered by High's contention, at about an hour and a half in, that Russian parapsychologists are anticipating a "consciousness event" early in 2012.

In the first ten minutes of the interview, High postulates that our mental state (much like our electronics) is being affected by the changes on the sun. He also described in a number of interviews (and about the 43 minute mark in this interview) a mental state in which people just shut down and are basically standing in the middle of the street, drooling on themselves. I noticed that Denise LeFay has noted a similar phenomenon associated with the increasing solar flares and says she's seen the beginning stages of it.

This morning (Nov. 28, 2011) I had to go to two stores to grocery shop and it was as usual physically and psychologically painful, but there was something different that happened and that’s why I’m writing this. What I saw today while shopping was an eye-opener for me and gave me a sense of what 2012 is probably going to be like for many, many, people.

While in these two stores grocery shopping this morning (Nov. 28, 2011) my Mom and I kept running into other shoppers in the isles which is normal, BUT, every one of these people was totally unaware, confused, dazed, incapable of responding with any sort of normal reaction to their being in the way of other shoppers and so on. The first few times this happened I ignored it and pushed on past them all. But isle after isle we kept encountering this same mentally dazed, brain-dead, zombie-like state in 99% of all the shoppers...

These shoppers were not all seniors either but a good mix of society both in age and sex so this can’t all be blamed on the old people having a senior moment. Isle after isle we kept running into small groups of shoppers behaving like zombies who’d gotten themselves—and everyone else who came upon them—stuck in a zombie cluster-fuck traffic jam pile-up where none of them could even figure out how to solve the problem and escape the congestion. It really was unbelievable.

At about the 30 minute mark, High discusses psychic predictions that an off-planet entity may prevent a nuclear holocaust here on earth. After discounting much of it as a "savior myth," High allows that that doesn't mean it isn't true. There may be off-world entities that would prevent that because the damage would affect more than our planet but severely impact the rest of the solar system or farther out into the galaxy. I'd just like to point out that this is precisely what Bashar claimed in the eponymous channeled book. After first explaining that there was collective agreement not to destroy ourselves at some point in the early 1980s, he goes on to explain that we would never have been allowed to do so by nuclear means anyway.

Because you have made that decision, we can also tell you the following: that you never would have been allowed to annihilate yourselves through nuclear means anyway. It is your world: you can do with it what you will . . .  as long as what you do remains in your own back yard! Nuclear annihilation would have torn through the dimensional fabric of other space/time continuums, and affected other civilizations that have nothing to do with you. That is not allowed.

Another curious possible correlation to some of the more out there predictions I've heard through the years comes about the 2 hour and 17 minute mark. He describes a change in the "photonics" in which we begin to perceive colors that we didn't previously perceive. He suggests this may be due to changes in the magnetosphere and which affect our consciousness. This is something I remember Drunvalo Melchizedek talking about years ago regarding the pole shift -- that we would suddenly see colors that never existed in nature before.

I do think the entire interview is worth listening to, even though it's long and lacks narrative structure. I've tried to pinpoint the juicy bits by noting the times. Also, in the player below is a set of clips some helpful soul collected.

Also of note: High's newest report was just posted on High's site but it comes with some important caveats.

Future Recent History:2020 is specifically NOT a Shape of Things to Come report, although it has some element similarities. However, there are no immediacy, nor shorter term values used, thus much of the Shape report is not there, and a huge unreliability factor is present.

More William Henry: 2012 and Sion

In this very recent Red Ice Radio interview, William Henry discusses his increasing discomfort with some of the factually challenged hype around 2012. He is also becoming more outspoken in his challenge of conspiracy theories about "the illuminati" and the like.

The major takeaway from this interview is Henry's illustrative tale of how the "the gods" hid the great mysteries from humanity.

The body is absolutely the machine. And that's the diversion to me. Because if you're lookin' for a machine out here -- I mean everybody's lookin' for the Ark of the Covenant. Where's the Ark of the Covenant? Is it in Ethiopia? Or is it? Where is it? Well, according to this tradition, the Ark of the Covenant is your first three chakras. And the reason why archaeologists can never find the Ark of the Covenant is 'cause they're always sitting on it. I mean, that's the old joke isn't it? Oh, the gods got together. They have this secret. They wanna hide this secret from humanity. Should we bury it in the ocean? No. They'll create a submarine. They'll be able to find it. Well, let's put it high up on a mountain. Oh, no, no. They'll be able to climb that mountain. Well, we should bury it in the desert. No. Someone will find it. Oh, I know. Let's put it inside them. They'll never think to look there.

If there is a "dark side of the illuminati," the biggest psych op they're running is planting conspiracy theories that demonize the very information that could set us free. As Henry points out, we're told that there are secret technologies that only the elite have access to, when the human body itself is the technology. We've just forgotten how to use it. And the key symbols and archetypes that serve as a reminder of how to activate that technology -- such as the "all seeing eye" -- are inverted and recast as symbols of oppression.

William Henry Talks Sun Worship, 2012, and More

I have not been and will not be doing much blogging until I get some computer problems resolved. Don't ask. It's been a rough few months on many levels. But, in the meantime, I've managed to catch some good new YouTube vids and this Coast to Coast interview from November is an excellent reminder of how much more advanced the ancients were than our current tech dependent civilization. George Noory's interview with William Henry begins a little before the 40 minute mark.

Radiation and Quake Warnings for the West Coast

I felt moved to glance at George Ure's blog this morning even though he rarely posts on the weekends. I'm glad I did. There are some observations on this unbelievably horrible situation with Japan and some of the ramifications. According to Clif High this incident is starting to fulfill some of the linguistics from earlier runs. Remember the "ill winds?"

This is important because in the meta set involved, the expected “Israeli mistake” which we had anticipated would be the ‘smoking/bombed out remains of Bushir’ where Iranian nuclear development continues (a plan which has apparently changed) the data suggested that shortly after the radiation/ill winds began to reach the West Coast USA that a major West Coast/US earthquake would follow within a few days/weeks.

We are now concerned that in the event there is such a release, for one (or more of the damaged plants) that we will then move into language which suggests 18-days – or so – of release related to the ‘radioactive volcanoes’ which seems to be in fill mode right now.

So this leave people, particularly west coasties, with two contingencies to prepare for: Arrival of potential radiation from Japan, and the possibility (small but non-zero) that an earthquake of even more devastating size could arrive semi-concurrently (roughly in the same temporal window) and we’re now also watching the release language for the March 25th period since tyhe timing is a little too close to be ignored.

I don't know if I would be as concerned about a "small but non-zero" earthquake warning if there were not so many predictions, including my own, regarding a serious quake (or quakes) in the California area. (I felt shaking as far out as Arizona in one reading.)

So, again, we have started the coronal maximum cycle which has an impact on the earth's magnetosphere which has an effect on things like earthquake and volcanic activity.

I'm a little overwhelmed right now by how surreal things have become. It's hard to take it all in. Oh, and here's some data on the California fish kill Ure refers to. Apparently they suffocated because something (???) caused them to overcrowd the harbor. There was also a neurotoxin found but it doesn't appear to be what killed them.

I should also mention that Clif High has added a new wrinkle to the apocalyptic earth change prophecies of the "angry sun," pole shift variety. Here, he explains what he calls the Expando Planet model. I'm still trying to take that in and consider its viability but I pass it along for the consideration of readers.

And speaking of Atlantis, possibly of interest. And speaking of 2012, if you saw the movie, also possibly of interest: Arks for the oligarchs? Hmmm....

Mayan Grand Elder: Live Address

Don Alejandro Cirilo Perez Oxlaj, the Grand Elder of the Maya, for whom Drunvalo Melchizedek has been delivering information in previous addresses, will be doing a live internet event starting August 15th. According to Drunvalo, it is only over roughly the last year that the Maya have been willing to set the record straight on the meaning of the long count calendar, based on their traditions and practices.

Also, Drunvalo has posted a Q&A from his last lecture and it's very, very interesting.

John Major Jenkins on the Mayan Calendar

This interview with John Major Jenkins, author of Maya Cosmogenesis 2012, is lucid, sober, and free of hyperbole. Listen, in particular, to his explanation of the role of prophecy; something I'll probably be talking about more in the near future.

Geoff Stray on 2012

Fascinating, fascinating, interview with Geoff Stray, author of Beyond 2012. Stray has spent years collating myths relating to 2012 and some of the more empirical evidence of planetary alignments and shifts. He also finds remarkable correlation in the individual experiences of those have used sacred plants or had near death experiences who have received information about 2012.

His discoveries seem to support Drunvalo Melchizedek's belief in a leap in consciousness associated with the pole reversal around that 2012 reference point. Stray explains research pointing to shifts in the magnetosphere triggering an increase in DMT production. In other words the magnetic shift would allow us to collectively "pierce the veil." Along those lines he points to a Maori myth which was, he believes improperly translated as saying "the curtain will fall." He points to a more accurate translation of "the veil will dissolve." This, in particular, jumps out at me because that is also the original meaning of the world apocalypse. From the Greek Apokálypsis meaning "revealing what is hidden," "lifting the veil," or simply, "revelation."

A good, brief summary of Sray's work can also be found here.

The Oil Spill and Apocalyptic Prophecy

A public official in Louisiana compared the oil spill now reaching the shores to Biblical prophecy.

With its arrival on the Panhandle, oil from the BP disaster has now reached the shores of four Gulf states - Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama in addition to Florida - turning their marshlands into death zones for wildlife and staining beaches rust and crimson.

One official said the affliction brings to mind the plagues and punishments of the Bible.

"In Revelations it says the water will turn to blood," said P.J. Hahn, director of coastal zone management for Louisiana's Plaquemines Parish. "That's what it looks like out here - like the Gulf is bleeding. This is going to choke the life out of everything."

Indeed it does say that: Revelation 8: 8-9:

And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

Elsewhere around the web people are invoking Hopi Prophecy:

"This is the Seventh Sign: You will hear of the sea turning black, and many living things dying because of it."

White Feather, a Hopi of the ancient Bear Clan.

Just something to contemplate.

Drunvalo: Birth of a New Humanity

I'm feeling pulled to this video conference. I've been having intimations for weeks now that there is some information I need from Drunvalo. Then I was reminded that this event is happening this Wednesday. So I've registered for it. It's very reasonable at just under a tenner.

Now that we understand the immense changes we are about to undergo in the 2012 period which the Maya call THE END OF TIMES, I shall present some information that is known only to few,” says Drunvalo Melchizedek to his Hungarian fans. “We know from the last broadcast that the Maya, the Hopi, the Kogi and the Arjuaco all say that they are descendants of the lost continent of Atlantis.

Although 200 years ago Plato spoke about this continent, the world does not know what to think of it, since no material evidence of its existence has been found.

During the next broadcast we shall enter the ancient continent of Atlantis, because this is where our story starts. All our problems today originate from here. A long time, over 13 thousand years ago the grids of human consciousness started to collapse and humanity began to lose its higher consciousness. This is what the Bible calls “the Fall”. Something had to be done otherwise humanity would have sunk to the level of animals. As the axis of the Earth shifted and Atlantis sank into the ocean, the Maya, the Kogi and the Arjuaco set off in their ships to find new lands.

For more information on Drunvalo and why I keep coming back to his work see here. If you're interested in registering for this event, the form is here. If you include my referrer number (#53537), you can help me become a VIP. (Oooooh!) It's one of those I told 4 friends and they told 4 friends and they told 4 friends things. Just look at the form. It's all there. Anyhoo, I'm recommending this one sight unseen because I just love this guy. My work with him has been absolutely life changing.

California Quake Warnings, Earth Changes, Etc.

The Time Monks have done several media appearances over the past month and I've been trying to figure out how to encapsulate this and other information into something cogent. I can't. So I'm just going to throw several of the better interviews up here for your consideration and babble in a stream of consciousness fashion. As ever, I endorse you, gentle reader, to try not to go into fear around some of the scarier predictions... like the economic stuff. It may even be irresponsible of me to say this but I just don't get that it's going to be as bad as they predict and that I see something really beautiful opening up behind the misery. We do, however, live in "interesting times" and some of this is can get very uncomfortable. It already has but it's going to get worse.

Earthquakes and California

That said, there is a lot of data here that I'm seeing cross-corroboration of; particularly on natural disasters. I have very real concerns about earthquakes. In late March I know I said to several people, privately, that I was feeling a build-up to another major natural disaster. A short time later this spate of quakes started. We're already way off the charts in terms of number and frequency which Clif High notes. I have very real concerns about California right now. A few days before the Mexico quake that was felt up through much of Southern California, I saw a fault line releasing a lot of light in a portion of California. (This came up in a private reading so I'm really not at liberty to say more than that.) Now here's what concerns me. Since that occurred I've been hearing information from numerous, diverse sources pointing to some very serious quake activity pending throughout much of California.

I'd like to think the Mexico quake -- which did mercifully little damage -- was the one that was predicted for the San Diego area. It's not looking like that. It looks more like it was a precursor to a much worse quake pending for that region. There are a number of psychics picking that up but it's also being validated by more empirical sources. Whitley Strieber did a brief segment with a geologist on Dreamland. (It's about the first 10 minutes of the 4/10 Starchild DNA interview which will go behind the pay wall shortly.) Here's the concerning part: This geologist says that while the Mexico quake released pressure on some fault lines, it actually increased pressure on a number of others around San Diego. And that what is pending is a 6-7 point quake for that area.

The picture gets worse if you look at some of the psychic and channeled information. Clif High and George Ure get into a very involved and concerning discussion of the possibility of serious, permanent damage to much of California. There is also some channeled information in a newsletter that was forwarded to me by a friend. It can be found here. Scroll down to the section heading "Epicenters for San Diego & LA." If Tom Moore is bringing through accurate info, this could get seriously ugly, particularly in the San Diego area.

I have a number of clients and friends in various parts of California so this information concerns me on a very personal level. (I also had my daughter when I was living in the San Diego area so that  emotionally ties me to the region.) I'm not trying to scare anyone but I would be remiss if I didn't at least pass along these concerns. I would say, at the very least, that it would be a good time to stock up on bottled water and canned goods. And please, dear ones, watch animal patterns. Take note if the number of missing pets goes up and take note if your own pets start to become unusually anxious. Also, if you're just feeling an inexplicable impulse to get out of the area, GO!

Iceland Volcanic Action

According to High, as bad and disruptive as the current volcanic eruption in Iceland is, it may just be the beginning. I read the other day that, in fact, there is significant geological concern about a second volcanic eruption.

Scientists fear tremors at the Eyjafjallajokull (ay-yah-FYAH-lah-yer-kuhl) volcano could trigger an even more dangerous eruption at the nearby Katla volcano – creating a worst-case scenario for the airline industry and travelers around the globe.

A Katla eruption would be 10 times stronger and shoot higher and larger plumes of ash into the air than its smaller neighbor, which has already brought European air travel to a standstill for five days and promises severe travel delays for days more.

The two volcanos are side by side in southern Iceland, about 12 miles (20 kilometers) apart and thought to be connected by a network of magma channels.

Pole Shift

Yes, High is still talking about pole shift. He also says the Chilean quake was noticeably tied to some intriguing solar activity. So is the Iceland volcano. He posits that the Mayan Calendar seems to be charting a regular solar cycle and its effects on the earth's magnetosphere. I've already covered a good bit of this but his explanation in the Caost to Coast interview below is so good I wanted to underscore it.

Timey-Wimey... Stuff

This is not a major component of the interviews. It's something Clif High touches upon sort of tangentially but it really jumped out at me. High theorizes that there is some manipulation of "time stuff" or what Doctor Who calls "wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff." Okay... they're in very different contexts. I just like to say "wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff." Try it. It's fun. What High references is the possibility that there is some technology in use that allows pinpoint control of time -- speeding it up and slowing it down -- which causes the "time stuff" to roll off into other areas and cause problems. Now, why do I care... This has actually come up in my awareness several times and kind of thrown me for a loop. My linear mind doesn't care for the idea that time can be manipulated in that way but I've seen it occur in glimpses, by... well... let's just say people I would not like to think possess such dangerous knowledge. I've found that I've been subconsciously picking up on "time distortion" from time to time. In a fairly recent journal entry, while I was jotting down a list of strange, but explicable occurrences, I had written the phrase "time distortions." Then I had no idea why I'd written it. In my journal it reads, "time distortions... (Whoa. Where did that come from?!)" I don't know where it came from or why. But it concerns me because it's part of a larger pattern of energy manipulation. If anyone else is getting anything along these lines, I'd love to compare notes.

Pyramids in the Antarctic

This is a really tantalizing tidbit. In his interview with OneRadio, High explains that he has photographs he has promised not to release yet which show what appear to be giant pyramid structures in the Antarctic. In Fingerprints of the Gods, Graham Hancock explores the theory that the remnants of a lost civilization, usually referred to as Atlantis, could be in the Antarctic hidden under the ice sheets. One possibility is that they wound up in this now uninhabitable location during a previous pole shift and crustal displacement as theorized by Charles Hapgood.

The second connection the Flem-Aths made followed logically from the first: if there was such a recurrent, cyclical geological phenomenon as earth-crust displacement, and if the last displacement had shifted the enourmous landmass we call Antarctica out of temperate latitudes and into the Antarctic Circle, it was possible that the substantial remains of a lost civilization of remote antiquity might today be lying under two miles of ice at the South Pole.

It was suddenly clear to me how a continent-sized landmass, which had been the home of a large and prosperous society for thousands of years, could indeed get lost almost without trace. As the Flem-Aths concluded: 'It is to icy Antarctica that we look to find answers to the very roots of civilization -- answers which may yet be preserved in the frozen depths of the forgotten island continent.'

William Henry on Egypt, Stargates, and 2012

This brand new Coast to Coast interview with William Henry is an absolute mind-blower. It actually reduced me to tears at a couple of points because it evoked such a powerful sense of memory.  I don't know where the image used by the video maker came from but there's that concentric circle shape again. For added fun, it also contains the "funny looking mountain range" I referenced here.

In a delicious Jungian synchronicity, I learned something new this morning. I have a feed gadget on my iGoogle page for this very helpful nutrition site. The food of the week this week is onions.

The word onion comes from the Latin word unio for "single," or "one," because the onion plant produces a single bulb, unlike its cousin, the garlic, that produces many small bulbs. The name also describes the union (also from unio) of the many separate, concentrically arranged layers of the onion.

Money Myth Exposed

U.S. Economy Grinds To Halt As Nation Realizes Money Just A Symbolic, Mutually Shared Illusion

WASHINGTON—The U.S. economy ceased to function this week after unexpected existential remarks by Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke shocked Americans into realizing that money is, in fact, just a meaningless and intangible social construct.

What began as a routine report before the Senate Finance Committee Tuesday ended with Bernanke passionately disavowing the entire concept of currency, and negating in an instant the very foundation of the world's largest economy.

"Though raising interest rates is unlikely at the moment, the Fed will of course act appropriately if we…if we…" said Bernanke, who then paused for a moment, looked down at his prepared statement, and shook his head in utter disbelief. "You know what? It doesn't matter. None of this—this so-called 'money'—really matters at all."

"It's just an illusion," a wide-eyed Bernanke added as he removed bills from his wallet and slowly spread them out before him. "Just look at it: Meaningless pieces of paper with numbers printed on them. Worthless."

. . .

For some Americans, the fog of disbelief surrounding the nation's epiphany has begun to lift, with many building new lives free from the illusion of money.

Okay... It's from The Onion, but a girl can dream.

Actually, I posted this because it's one of those really poignant, "funny 'cause it's true" things. Not the part about Bernanke suddenly losing his religion. That won't happen. But the simple truth is that our current monetary system is a giant, soul sucking illusion. Also true, people are waking up to that fact.

If you haven't seen the Zeitgeist movies, I recommend doing so. Not that I necessarily support all of their conclusions or proposed solutions. The movies have been very fairly, I think, described as slickly produced agitprop. But they do lend some insight into why our economic model... well... doesn't make any sense. Notably, they explain in graphic detail the fact that money, from the moment of its creation, represents debt; not work, not material goods, not gold (not anymore), not anything of actual value. Debt. It represents debt. This sets up an underlying paradigm that is truly alarming. I know that most economists reject that characterization of fractional reserve banking, but symbolism matters. It is how we create our reality.

I have pointed many times to Marianne Williamson's lectures on money, in which she explains that money is barter. "You give this. You get that." I have also described money as "an abstraction of goods and services." In an ideal sense, that is true. Unfortunately, under our current economic model, divorced from the gold standard or any other material backing, it is more accurately described as "an abstraction of debt." This is a serious, serious problem. We are dealing with a financial system that is entirely faith based.

One of the most outspoken thinkers on our unsustainable economic model is Daniel Pinchbeck. In recent articles and projects, he calls for a total re-envisioning of our financial paradigm.

Opportunities such as this one don't come along very often and should be seized once they appear. When the edifice of mainstream society suddenly collapses, as is happening now, it is a fantastic time for artists, visionaries, mad scientists and seers to step forward and present a well-defined alternative. What is required, in my opinion, is not some moderate proposal or incremental change, but a complete shift in values and goals, making a polar reversal of our society's basic paradigm. If our consumer-based, materialism-driven model of society is dissolving, what can we offer in its place? Why not begin with the most elevated intentions? Why not offer the most imaginatively fabulous systemic redesign?

The fall of capitalism and the crisis of the biosphere could induce mass despair and misery, or they could impel the creative adaptation and conscious evolution of the human species. We could attain a new level of wisdom and build a compassionate global society in which resources are shared equitably while we devote ourselves to protecting threatened species and repairing damaged ecosystems. Considering the lightning-like pace of global communication and new social technologies, this change could happen with extraordinary speed.

In this Coast to Coast interview, Pinchbeck discusses his views in some detail. The interview is more broad ranging than that, focusing primarily on 2012 and his experiences with the archetype Quetzalcoatl.  But, the crumbling of our financial edifices appears to be an integral part of the great shift. (As I've previously noted, both Karen Bishop and Time Monk Clif High see us moving away from our current money based system; although their perspectives on this are quite different.)

One particularly compelling item actually forecasts the financial collapse of 2008. I missed this when I first listened to this interview -- probably because the event had not yet occurred. Pinchbeck points to the prediction of Carl Johan Calleman. The discussion starts near the end of video six. I also located the germane passage in Pinchbeck's 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl. (p.391)

ALTHOUGH WE DO NOT KNOW how the Classic Maya interpreted the prophetic culmination of their Long Count, Carl Johan Calleman has elaborated a meticulously exact fractal model of time from the Mayan calendar, in which human consciousness evolves through nine "Underworlds," each twenty times faster in linear time than the previous one. Each underworld passes through a thirteen-stage process of alternating light and dark energy currents -- or seven "days" and six "nights" of creation -- culminating in a new level of realization. According to Calleman's model, sometime around the year 2008 -- the "fifth night" of the current underworld, ruled by the energies of Tezcatlipoca, the jaguar god of night and black magic -- our current socioeconomic system will suffer a drastic and irrevocable collapse.

One rather noteworthy synchronicity I'd like to point out: At the very end of the interview with Daniel Pinchbeck, a clearly knowledgeable caller gives an interpretation of the return of Quetzalcoatl. He associates it with the Venus transit and offers some analysis about how its reflective nature points us to oneness consciousness. In glancing over the latest info posted on the Zeitgeist website, I noticed that they call their action plan the Venus Project. Second on the list of its goals: "Transcending all of the artificial boundaries that separate people." Not reading a whole lot into that. Just thought it was a curious synchronicity.

And now, more on creating a new mythology of money from Daniel Pinchbeck:

Addendum: Yes. I know the above is extremely disjointed, tangential, and may even make absolutely no sense at all. I apologize. I am currently experiencing what I will henceforth term Ascension Related Fatigue or ARF. It involves, among other things, entire nights spent in endless, action-adventure dreams that leave me needing a nap after I wake up. Said naps include more exhausting, technicolor dreaming. You get the picture.
